Uncommon Word Finder (Docs Add-on)

Analyses all words in a document and highlights any words not found in a dictionary of 1,000 most common US English words.

This is intended for people writing for non-native speakers of English. Since about 75% of interactions in a language use only the 1,000 most common words in that language communicating within that limited vocabulary could significantly enhance accessibility. This add-on highlights words in red to draw the writer’s attention to words outside this vocabulary.

This add on creates a new option to “Highlight Uncommon Words” in the “Add-ons” menu.
